Essential Information for Students:

Before students begin their journey at the School of Engineering, they must take note of the following key events in order to ensure their enrollment and ease of access to resources. Please keep in mind that this is to be done by all students, regardless of their major being declared or undeclared.

Program Registration
(Compulsory)

JUPAS: Program Registration
Non-JUPAS (Local / International / Mainland JEE): Students should refer to the email from the Academic Registry titled "Invitation for Program Registration" from July onwards 

Student ID collection Student Cards will be issued to students who have completed program registration. Registered students will be notified by the Academic Registry for Student Card collection.
 
ITSO Account Activate HKUST email account (JUPAS entry; please activate on August 8th, 09:00 and onwards). Access and check your HKUST email at https://O365.ust.hk or Student Intranet 
Completion of ASCM1000 Students must complete and pass the mandatory course ASCM1000 by 21st of September (access commences on 1st of September). Students who do not complete this mandatory requirement will be restricted from accessing ALL library resources (e.g., e-books, e-journals, physical access, room booking etc. )

Advising Services

Advising Online Helpdesk: 7th August - 8th August 14:00-17:00 (via Zoom)

Peer Mentors: Mentors will be present to support you throughout your first year of study, coordinating various social activities such as cultural learning and sports to help incoming students acclimate to university life. Specific details about these activities will be communicated to you by the peer mentors or your major department.
